Olympic Trials - Victoria BC

With a top 4 finish at Olympic trials Achraf would have a round trip ticket to Athens. With that in mind, Achraf stepped onto the track at Centenial stadium with that goal. Andrew Ellerton who runs for Michigan along with Nathan Brennan both needed an A standard to qualify for the games took it out. Ellerton setting an early pace of 49 seconds for the opening 400m left Achraf 2 seconds back. At 650m Achraf realized he had better move as he was in jeopardy of slipping into 5th place. He kicked past everyone except Gary Reed. Both Reed and Tadili will fly off to Athens after securing their spots. Reed set a games record not to mention these two times were the two fastest ever at a Canadian Championships.
