The town of Laval payed tribute to its Olympic athletes

Tuesday evening, the town of Laval was giving a civic reception in honour of Laval residents who were at the Athen’s Olympic games: One of them Achraf Tadili. The athletes saw their courage and determination mentionned by Laval’s mayor Gil! les Vaillancourt and the members of the town council. Mr Vaillancourt insisted on the word winner “Laval is a winning town and you are winners. You are models for the population who admire you. You made us feel extraodinary moments.” The participation of seven athletes at the Athen’s games represented 12% of the Quebec delegation. As for Achraf Tadili, he took advantage of this reception to thank the town of Laval , and all it’s citizens for their continuous support and encouragement. The athlete started intensive training in view of the Helsinki World Championships in August 2005.
