Today, was a big day for Achraf as he set foot on Polish soil for his first time, with nothing to lose. The temperature was really cool and rain fell quickly from the sky as "the Dog", with one thing on his mind set, out on a journey- The Olympic Games.
As the gun went off achraf followed the rabbit who went out in a blistering 48.9 seconds, Achraf sitting a few positions out of the lead crossing the first 400m in 50.32 seconds, he continued to follow the rabbit through 600m in 1:17. As the rabbit dropped out, Achraf put on a show of both speed and heart as he ran away from his competitors by more than one second! Achraf not only won the race but he also ran the Olympic A standard. Achraf crossed the line in a season best of 1:45.21 and putting a bite into the standard of 1:45.75.
